I have now stopped organising weddings having had a lot of practise, especially with my daughters as it is too exhausting and too many people involved.   It is a very expensive business with a lot of people taking a slice of the action – There must be another way!!

What a Result

The 2015 election result has been announced and even though there have a few upsets, I believe it will bring stability to business and enable companies and organisations to plan ahead and organise conferences and events.

TIPIS WEDDINGS IN CHESHIRE

Venue Plus has teamed up with a fantastic Tipis company for weddings and events on an unique site on The Peckforton Hills overlooking The Cheshire Plain and you can even see Liverpool Cathedral.

If you are looking for a more informal and relaxed venue for a celebration, wedding or party, then this could be it!      We do not do package events, as we would rather work with you to create something special, within your budget and exclusively yours.

BOLESWORTH CASTLE WEDDINGS

Having only recently set up Bolesworth Weddings as the premier marquee/tipi wedding site in Cheshire, we have just had our first booking confirmed.     We are all very excited on the estate and this booking is for 140 guests on our lakeside setting, which is about to have extra planting added and the area developed to enhance the stunning location, ready for next year.    

This booking is for five Tipi tents and the bride and groom are going to create a festival atmosphere with camping or glamping in the next field and have activities & games for the guests, along with fireworks – So a really special occasion, all co-ordinated and managed for that perfect day – each guest is provided with their own wellington boots, for that wellie throwing competition!!

Olympic Rooms Released

I have read in the press recently that 120,000 bedrooms that have been on hold for the Olympics have now been released via LOCOG in London hotels.  Over the past months, it seems that a lot of corporates have been steering clear of London during the Olympics.     This to me says that there may now be an opportunity to hold your event in London, as well as take in the atmosphere of the games.    So if you wish to hold your conference in London during this period, then give us a call and we will find out availability for you.

  • Constant contact and communication in regard to venue finding and organisation.
  • Arrange venue inspections.
  • Confirm all details of booking to you and your chosen venue.
  • Organise team building, activities, entertainment if required via our event partners.
  • Organise information and Conference packs to be sent to you direct or via the internet.
  • Offer back up advice and assistance when requested.

  • Supply contact details of venue conference co-ordinator so that you can discuss the finer details once the booking is confirmed.

Conference in Paris

Over the past month we have been working with an international software company to organise an event for 100 delegates in Paris in October.

The enquiry brief was a difficult one to organise at this time, as October in Paris is a no no in terms of offering late availability in the right areas and the prices are OTT.          All I can say is that Paris must be one of the busiest conference and event destinations in the world and in some central venues at this time of year, they will not consider taking a day conference unless it is with accommodation as part of the booking.

Well we did it, by using all our contacts and one of the most frustrating elements was the time it took to get responses – I think they were out to lunch!
